Willydilly

Willydilly
Ingo Maurer 1983
Willydilly by Ingo Maurer is a curved hanging lamp made of high-quality, light-transparent cardboard. The white cardboard shade wraps around the light source and is attached to the pull cord by a fluorescent Japanese clothes peg. The cable as well as the canopy, designed in a shape reminiscent of a cone, are homogeneously white. The respective owners of Willydilly are asked to create the "shade swing" themselves: depending on whether the shade is turned tighter or wider, the luminaire takes on an individual shape thanks to creative freedom. This results in the wonderful interplay of light and shadow, which changes depending on the orientation: if you turn the shade tighter, the light emission is reduced to a discreet light; if the shade is wider and thus more openly wrapped around the light source, the light spreads further into the room and creates brightness. The height of Willydilly can be easily adjusted with the cable over the canopy. Willydilly by Ingo Maurer is an ideal lighting medium for all corridors, spacious rooms, accentuated areas, entrance areas and high ceilings - or also a creative decorative lighting object in stylish bathrooms.
