A cup, a spoon, light – the design of Light Au Lait plays with familiar objects and gives them a new purpose. The cup and saucer are made of stoneware. A ball joint allows the cup to rotate 180° and tilt 30°, so the light can be directed as desired. The stainless steel spoon serves as a pull switch: a gentle tug turns the light on or off. Designed by Fabien Dumas, Ingo Maurer and Team, Light Au Lait combines humour with a surprisingly natural form. A small lighting object full of wit and poetry – for kitchens, cafés, restaurants and other places where lighting is allowed to be a little unexpected.
