BaKaRú is a low-voltage lighting system. A complete system consists of 3 special cables with fixings and tensioning units, a transformer, and the lighting elements. BaKaRú can be stretched from wall to wall or mounted on the ceiling with additional rods. Horizontal, diagonal, or even vertical installation is possible. The BaKaRú element consists of an ellipse with a socket and a white translucent diffuser made of heat-resistant plastic. The element can be moved along the cables of the BaKaRú system and swiveled in any direction. Light source
GU/GX 5.3 socket, MR16 reflector lamp, max. 50 watts. Suitable for LED or halogen bulbs of energy classes A–G. White translucent diffuser made of heat-resistant plastic.
Technical data
Toroidal transformer for 230 volts or 125 volts, secondary 12 V AC. The transformer is equipped with a fuse and a thermal cut-out and can be loaded up to max. 200 watts (halogen). Light control only via special dimmers for inductive loads (not included).
Dimensions
The special cables can be supplied in lengths of 6, 8, or 10 meters. For longer distances, a second transformer with the necessary insulation units is recommended.

Use of LED bulbs: Bakaru works reliably with LED retrofit bulbs suitable for 12 V AC. However, we recommend using bulbs of the same type and manufacturer whenever possible. You should also avoid operating halogen and LED bulbs together in the same system. In mixed operation—especially when using a dimmer—undesired effects such as flickering of the bulbs can occur. Please also keep in mind that a system with a toroidal transformer (Part A) should reach a minimum load of more than 40 watts (=20%). An underloaded toroidal transformer will deliver higher voltage and thereby shorten the lifespan of the bulbs.
