24 Karat Blau Flat is the new member of the 24 Karat Blau family at Ingo Maurer. The principle of the 24 Karat Blau Flat is based on an acrylic glass panel that encloses wafer-thin beaten gold leaf and is mounted flat on the wall in front of the light source. One luminaire - many possibilities: Thanks to individual panels that can be combined as desired and aligned in different ways, the customer creates his or her own individual work of art. Beaten extremely thin, the pure gold only allows short-wave blue light to pass through, which is why the light source appears bluish. Golden yellow light is reflected by the 24 Karat Blau Flat and creates a warm atmosphere in the room. The lamp was designed by Axel Schmid, who has been part of the Ingo Maurer creative team for 23 years and who already developed the earlier models of the series.

E14 socket, for max. 10 W, suitable for EEC A-G bulbs. Recommended light source: LED (filament) tube shape T20/25 or candle shape C35.

A single panel with one light source or a whole wall installation of 24 Karat Blau Flat?

Equip an entire corridor with a row of individual 24 Karat Blau Flat gold panels - very close to the wall and with a safety ring.

Turn the wall behind the reception desk into a light installation: take as many 24 Karat Blau Flat plates as you like and create your illuminated mural in different sizes.

If you want to extend your 24 Karat Blue Flat, you simply need the 24 Karat Blau Flat (Additonal Module) in addition to the original 24 Karat Blau Flat product.

NOTE: From a larger 24 Karat Blau Flat constellation with 6 or 7 gold panels, we recommend an additional light source:

  • • 2 x the "original product" (24 Karat Blau Flat) + 4 x additonal module (2L + 4E = 6) or
  • • 2 x the "original product" (24 Karat Blau Flat) + 5 x additional module (2L + 5E = 7)
