Illuminar

Iluminar
Sao Paulo, 2003
Fondation Armando Alvares Penteado
Not a design exhibition about light, but a light exhibition about design. In a spectacular and sensitive scenography arranged by Fernando and Humberto Campana, more than 250 masterpieces of lighting were presented, engaging the visitors into a direct experiment with light. The scenario "From darkness to light and back again..." was inspired by the rhythm of the day, the seasons, and of life. The exhibition was divided in three major parts: 'The Milky Way', 'Phantoms and Etcoplasms' and 'The Paradise of Bulbs'. In each division, a special place was dedicated to the work of Ingo Maurer who created three specific installations.
