"Walking In The Rain" is a large, sculptural light object.
It stands like a figure in the room on two red feet. Three overlapping sheets of paper resemble a cloak.
Ingo Maurer cites traditional Japanese straw-woven raincoats as the inspiration for this exclusive piece.
This explains the impression of a figure with feet and a head.
As with all models of the MaMo Nouchies collection, the shade is made of Japanese paper. It is shaped in the workshop of Dagmar Mombach through several elaborate steps.
An especially large amount of this unique material is used for "Walking In The Rain".
It contains two LED modules that can be dimmed separately. The paper layers act as diffusers.
The modules were developed specifically for the MaMo Nouchies by the Ingo Maurer team. The light is warm and soft and closely resembles that of traditional incandescent bulbs.
"Walking In The Rain" is a friendly presence in any room — it offers more than just light.
