OLED objects 2010

Ingo Maurer presents four new OLED lighting designs in Frankfurt at light+building 2010.

Flying Future: Named after its predecessors of 2006 and 2008, which were both made only as an experimental model. For 2010, 90 transparent OLED modules by Novaled have been fixed in a plastic foil. With a size of approx. 150 x 80 cm, the object seems to float in the air like a delicate cloth moved by the wind. When switched off, the OLED modules are transparent.

4x4 is 34: Ingo Maurer used square transparent OLEDs by Novaled for this table lamp. The four glass panes each carry four OLEDs with a size of 5 x 5 cm.

Double C. Future and Double T. Future: Both made with nine "Orbeos" OLED modules by Osram Opto Semiconductors. Ingo Maurer combined the octagonal OLEDs with four LED spots on cardanic joints. The table lamp's arm is adjustable in height and length. The ceiling lamp is suspended on four thin low-voltage wires. LEDs and OLEDs can be switched on and off separately on each lamp. Both designs are available as limited edition, price upon request.

Spazio Krizia 2010

Milano, Salone del Mobile, 2010

For many years, Spazio Krizia has been a fantastic platform to showcase my ideas for objects, One-Offs, and installations. It has also become my base camp in Milano during the Salone, a space where I have had the chance to meet many interesting, lovely people, and last, but not least the generous and brilliant, Mariuccia Mandelli, an outstanding character.
